1) Good original late WW2 to 1950s RAF issue blue collarless shirt. A surprisingly hard to find bit of RAF clothing. This is the 2nd pattern with full buttoned front, we have seen this pattern dated 1944 so certainly around in the late war years. the earlier version is the over head type with 3 button closure. The shirt is the correct early blue/white criss cross pattern of material. the material is all good but does show age related dirt and marks mostly to the front but some dotted about to the rear. all stitching is excellent. one button is missing to the upper front and one to the cuff but all others are in place and good. It comes with its correct size loose collar. The neck is marked with the WD arrow, makers mark and RAF 22B ref code. There are no dates. It has a loosely stitched airman’s service number to the lower hem. A nice late war shirt in good used condition.
Measurements are Shoulder to Shoulder 16 1/2 inches, Shoulder to Cuff 21 1/2 inches, Armpit to Armpit 19 inches, Total Length Collar to Hem measured down the back 31 inches.
