1) A good original WW1 British army haversack, apparently this one originally started out life as a 1914 pack and was later officially converted for use with the 1908 webbing equipment. The pack is in good order, it has some dirt spots and stains along with wear to the bottom edges as can be seen in the photos but all good and strong and a layer of Blanco would clean this up. The front left closure strap is its original size and length but missing its brass end tab. The rear is in good order and complete with original straps and buckles to base and sides. The inside is good with minor dirt and dust and complete with internal divide. The underside of the closure flap is named to a woman, “W315460 Tomline G.E.” presumably this was from its early WW2 service? We can see no makers marks or dates. A good useable pack.
