118) An original WW2 German fireman’s dress bayonet. This looks like a bayonet but has no slot or locking catch so purely for dress/parade use. The Bakelite grips are excellent. The pommel is good but dirty with age and has some bumps and wear to the surface layer. The blade is excellent with minor glide marks from gong in and out of the scabbard and very slight chips to to the silver finish on the blade edge (see photos) The scabbard is good with much original black finish mixed in with surface rust. .
