25) An interesting pair of WW1 British Indian army marked (/|\ I) spurs. These were made in 1917. The metalwork is excellent just very dirty with age. the insides are maker marked. One spur has nice clear markings, the other are poorly stamped but they are a matched maker and date pair. Interestingly the rowels which are the bits that spin to the ends have been professionally repaired/replaced with Indian 1945 dated coins (see photos) so clearly these spurs were in service during both wars and beyond. The leather is good soft and supple. It is of thick leather and shows minor surface cracking but nothing deep. it is very dirty and could do with a good clean.
