31) A very nice original late war US army officers tropical khaki worsted uniform. Both jacket and trousers have their labels attached and show matching size 42 and matching dates of March 1945. The jacket is in nice order with what we believe to be all original period added badges and insignia, all insignia is excellent, the rank is that of lieutenant colonel and the arm insignia is that of the US 8th army. All insignia is excellent, the arm patch is loose to the bottom (see photos). the jacket is a little crumpled from storage but would iron out fine, the bottom edge shows some small moth holes front and back all of which is shown in the photos and nothing that stands out. the inside is nicely lined. The trousers are again crumpled so could do with ironing, they are good and clean but do show quite a few small moth nips over the legs mostly to the bottom and a few to the seat (see photos). the hem to one leg has also come unstitched so could do with sewing back up. Although this has moth holes dotted about, they are mostly pretty small and all could be neatly darned and still a very respectable looking set left as is.
Jacket Measurements are shoulder to shoulder 18 ½ inches, shoulder to cuff 24 ½ inches, armpit to armpit 22 inches, total length collar to hem 33 ½ inches.
Trousers measure waist 38 inches, inside leg 30 inches with 3 inch turn up, total length waist to ankle 43 inches.
