32) The compass is in lovely order all original paintwork is in place and good. it shows surface wear to the edges and high spots. the inside looks perfect and clean, it has all original damping fluid in it with no air bubbles as is correct. It works well. the base is nicely marked and dated 1939. the leather case is the correct for the compass and just an early pattern. it is good and strong but has had the belt loop removed from one side leaving stitching holes. (See photos) It still has loops for a neck strap to be added. It is nicely maker marked and dated 1940. it in lovely clean condition.
