69) An original wartime tin which once held 10 X switches pull with percussion caps. The tin is in good order but does have one corner split where the solder has come apart (see photos). we are not sure what the stud to the front was for? We had a few of these and all had the same stud. The main tin is its original colour but the lid had been overpainted years ago. someone has started to remove the surface paint which has revealed the original writing underneath. It may be possible to take the overpainted layer off more but we prefer to leave it as found. The info reads “Switches, Pull 10. Lot No 997, 9/43. Perc Caps Filled. ICI Kynoch. Lot No C.A. the tin measures 5 ½ inches X 3 ½ inches. And is 1 ½ inches deep.
