74) Excellent Original Bring Back Afrika Korps Side Cap 1942

Description

74) A 100% original WW2 German army DAK side cap. The cap was part of a small collection of original items brought back by a British serviceman during/after WW2. It is in excellent original as found condition. The material is in great order with just a few marks but nothing bad. The DAK eagle is very nice and all as it should be. Unfortunately, the cockade/state shield has been partially torn off leaving some edging and one corner of it. there are also 2 minor holes in this area (see photos). this is ancient and done long ago. the inside is correctly lined in lovely red material and is excellent. it has a nice clear maker’s stamp with size of 59 and dated of December 1942. If only these things could talk!
