80) An original British army 1907 pattern bayonet as used during both wars. This one has shiny fittings so was used for parade The grips are good just dirty. the metalwork is good. It has been nicely marked 2 Dors 455 for the 2nd dorsets. the locking catch is good. the cross guard is again good. The blade looks nice with no signs of sharpening but does show loss to the chrome finish from going in and out of the scabbard. The markings are not the clearest due to the chrome and only the 1 of the date can be made out. The scabbard is good and strong. the metal fittings show ancient knocks and surface rust but all is minor (see photos). OFFERED FOR SALE WITHIN THE UK AND TO THOSE OVER THE AGE OF 18 ONLY.
