83) A very nice original wartime Bakelite protective helmet. in the standard Brodie style. These were sold privately and were for use when dealing with electricity etc in bombed out areas. Often made by Plasfort and Dunn & Co among others. The shell is in great order with no cracks or damage. The liner is an unusual style but one which we have seen in similar helmets before and 100% correct for this shell. it is in good condition with just minor wear from use. the liner is not dated but pencil marked “Mrs E.South” so originally belonged to a woman.. The original removable web chinstrap is in place and good. This one is not maker marked. A nice wartime helmet in great condition.
