95) A very nice original WW2 nurses uniform all to the same lady. the items consist of blue & white stripped dress which is in excellent order with no damage and marked “Nov.39” which is believed to be the date November 1939. bib dress with red cross again dated Nov 39 and in nice condition, Waist belt for dress marked S101 (this seems to be her number?, starched white collar in nice order and named Nurse M.Walls S101, starched white cuffs in nice order and named Nurse M.Walls S101 and Head scarf with red cross which is mostly good but does show some storage marks and named Nurse M.Walls S101.
It seems very hard to find photographs of blue and white nurses outfits being worn in WW2 but the following links shows some examples. the first is of a lady called Mary Morris whom became a nurse in 1939 and is wearing the same uniform identical to this one. the link has some interesting information of her war years taken from her diary.

The dress measures shoulder to shoulder 14 inches, shoulder to cuff 22 inches, armpit to armpit 17 inches, waist 28 inches, total length collar to hem 46 inches.
