95) A good original wartime RAF service dress uniform jacket and trousers. The jacket is in nice order with no damage just a few minor dirt marks. It has cuff rank to that of a Flight Lieutenant all of which is period done. The Kings Crown wings were on this when we purchased it but look to be good repros. The jacket has no label, dates or details but 100% wartime with waist belt attached to the rear, small pocket watch pocket etc. All original KC buttons are in place and good. The internal lining is again correct wartime pattern and in nice order.
The trousers are again 100% wartime with buttoned pleated bandage pocket to the front right hip and early buttons. They are of a slightly lighter shade to the jacket which seems to them having seen more use? The rear has been made larger with a V of material added. the material is an identical pattern and shade to the jacket. They show minor surface wear from use and a few minor tiny moth nips in places (see photos) All original buttons are in place. The closure hook is there but the metal loop has long since gone but easily replaced. They have nice strengthening to the hem area and have turn-ups which can easily be turned down to make them longer as they are only folded and not stitched. There is a label stitched in place to the waist which reads “TC 19585-2” possibly initials and service number? A very nice original wartime set.
Measurements are Jacket. Shoulder to shoulder 18 1/2 inches. armpit to armpit 20 1/2 inches. waist belt 35 inches, total length collar to hem 32 inches.
Trousers, Waist 36 inches. Inside leg 30 Inches. Total length waist to ankle 44 inches. The turn up is 1 1/2 inches so they will go that much longer if folded down.
