A really very nice early British Creagh-Osborne Compass by H.Hughes & Son Ltd London, the compass is of very high quality and looks to be an early pre WW1 example. Outwardly it is in excellent condition with much original finish along with surface scratches to the paintwork etc. the top bezel is excellent and complete with prism and sighting device. The inside of the compass looks good and clear, the fluid does show some air bubbles which is to be expected of something over 100 years old. The compass card/dial is good and points North well but the markings to it show wear/dirt so some is not so clear. The leather case is the correct for the compass and is of nice quality, the carry strap is good but shows age related wear.
