An interesting early WW2 US army officers 4 pocket jacket, this one has had an interesting life as it was at first issued to a soldier and has his name inside and was then part of the Warner Brothers Wardrobe in Hollywood so may have been in many films produced during the war and after, this one appears of higher quality to the usual tunics and is fully lined, also the pockets are nicely lined, it appears to have never had a label to it so maybe private purchase? All original buttons are in place and excellent. It is marked in several places to the inside with the “Warner Bros Wardrobe” Stamping. The jacket is in nice condition inside and out and has a couple of minor and well done period repairs 1 to the rear left arm and one to the lower left front which does not stand out at all. It can be seen where this once had metal insignia to the collars and sew on cloth insignia to the arms which has long since been removed.
Jacket measurements are: – Shoulder-to-shoulder 17 inches, shoulder to cuff 26 inches, armpit-to-armpit 21 inches, total length collar to hem 32 inches.
