A very nice original WW2 British Issue 2nd pattern Fairbairn Sykes fighting knife. the grips are excellent, the pommel nut is untouched and has the correct grip marks to each edge from construction. The cross guard is a little out of shape but good and firm. The blade is in good order and when putting next to the scabbard looks to be its original length, it is very nicely etched to one side with the Wilkinson’s Sword logo. The scabbard is in great order and correct wartime pattern with flat ended brass tip. The rear leather trouser taps have long since been removed but it can be seen where they once were. A good 100% original wartime FS knife. the blade measures 6 ¾ inches in length.
