A very nice original WW2 British denim jacket with original Home Guard arm patch and medal ribbon bar. The jacket is in excellent order, it has one small wear patch under the left shoulder epaulette which has been loosely repaired at some point and does not show, it also has a round hole to the lower left waistband, this has been made deliberately and is for use as another button hole, there is a corresponding button added to the waistband. The medal ribbons are original and have clearly been on this for a long time as the pin fixing has slight surface rust spots which have stained the material slightly and it is slightly stuck in place (see photos) the left arm once had a single rank chevron for Lance Corporal, this has long since been removed. The right arm has an original sew on Home Guard patch, the patch is in good order but a little faded and again has minor surface rust spots where it was stored and the pin from the medal bar has touched and left a mark (see photos). We have no way of knowing if the insignia is wartime applied of post war but all insignia is original and sold as found. The collar shows wear and the lower rear has minor marks which show more inside than outside (see photos). The internal label has long since gone. it measures Shoulder to Shoulder 18 inches, Shoulder to Cuff 24 Inches, Armpit to Armpit 21 inches, Waist 36 inches, Total Length Collar to Hem 24 inches.
