A nice original pair of WW2 German 10X50 dienstglas. These are marked bmj which is for the maker Hensoldt of Wetzlar. The grips are in good order but do show parting and minor edge damage to the leatherette type covering (see photos) they are nicely marked to the centre, the focuses are beautifully smooth and the optics are amazingly clean and clear, the brown Bakelite type eye cups are in good order, they look to be correct but do not screw down totally and have a very slight gap underneath. The original neck strap is in place and good. The case is strange in that it certainly looks to be German made but is marked with the British military WD arrow, the top is also marked with someone’s initials, it is too large for the binoculars, see photos. The case is in good order but could do with a good polish. The shoulder strap has long since snapped.
