Unidentified WW2 German RIV Marked Cap Wreath in Gold Colour

Description

An original wartime German cap wreath, this came with all the other German wreaths and cockades and was bought back by a member of the British army. The wreath is in gold coloured metal and of the usual oak leaf design, it has a central shield which obviously once has a central badge attached, to the bottom of the wreath are the letters RIV. All rear fixings are in place and excellent Any info on this would be a great help.
