An interesting WW1 small cooking pot with lid complete with small burner stove held inside the pot. This may well be French made? But is clearly an item that would have been purchased by a French and British officer for use in the trenches. As can be seen in the photos this has not been touched for many years and is covered in age related dirt and verdigris, it looks to be copper or brass underneath. The main cup is excellent, we can find no markings although any would be covered by the years of dirt, the lid is again good but does have some minor stress cracks to the edge (see photos) all is still good and strong. the burner and stand fit neatly inside the pot when not in use and when wanted is taken out and the pot fits perfectly on the top. The burner again looks to be in nice order but bears no markings that we can see. The main pot stands 3 ¼ inches tall X 4 ¼ inches across the top.
