A pair of un-issued British army 1941 pattern khaki drill shorts, these started out life as the so called Bombay Bloomers and would have had long flared trouser legs which could be folded and buttoned up to make shorts, these were soon made obsolete as the idea did not work well and was much disliked by the troops, due to this the existing un-issued pairs of Bombay Bloomers (“Khaki Drill Shorts With Turn Up”) were re-called and converted into 1941 pattern shorts. This pair is in in excellent clean condition, the brass buttons are perfect, the original strengthening patches for the turn up buttons can still be seen to the inside thighs. They are dated 1941. they are a size 9, for size details see the photos of the label.
